My minute of 19 July recorded a discussion between Sir M MacLehose and Mr Woodfield at the Home Office about

the timetable for bringing refugees from Hong Kong to this country. It was agreed that, as a first step, a Home Office- led team might go to Hong Kong in August to select a further batch of refugees.
