I know that China has a good relationship with General Kriangsak's Government and I venture now respectfully to express the hope that your Government may also use its considerable influence in Bangkok to persuade the Thai Government to delay any action against the refugees which might diminish the sympathy which we all feel with Thailand's present situation and which could indeed alienate foreign opinion.
