The Defence Secretary has seen a copy of your letter of 4th June to Bryan Cartledge at No 10 about the consultations to be held with Sir Murray MacLehose on 14th and 15th June. Mr Pym would certainly like to see the Governor himself and feels it would be useful if he were also present at any meetings between the Governor and other Ministers where Defence issues were discussed.
