I enclose a copy of a letter which has been addressed to the Prime Minister by Miss Joyce Pearce of the Ockenden Venture urging the Government to contribute to a solution of the problem of refugees in South East Asia.

In view of Mr. Raison's interest in the Ockenden Venture and his recent visit to it, I should be grateful if you would prepare a draft reply to Miss Pearce for the Prime Minister's consideration. It would be helpful if this could reach me by Wednesday 6 June.

I am sending a copy of this letter and enclosure to Stephen Wall (Foreign and Commonwealth Office).
