VIETNAMESE REFUGEES

Thank you for your letter of 21 March to Robert Stimson (who is on leave at present), keeping us abreast of Danish actions to help over the Vietnamese refugee problem. We are grateful for this report and were glad to hear that a group of Danish officials are in Hong Kong at work on selection. I should be grateful if you would take whatever opportunities may arise in the future to remind the Danish authorities of the seriousness of the refugee problem in Hong Kong where there are now over 17,000 people awaiting resettlement elsewhere?
