Rations for five more days including baby food, were supplied to the ship by helicopter.
An injured girl was transferred to hospital with her next of kin following a mishap on board.
3 mothers and 2 children were returned to the ship from hospital.
The Commanding Officer of HMS Wolverton passed the following message to the Master of the "Huey Fong" when the delivery of supplies was completed.
"On 25th December the Hong Kong Government offered to provide you with an escort to Taiwan. This offer still stands. You have been provided with sufficient food and water for this voyage.
Please now state when you wish the escort to be available."

The UNHCR representative had a further meeting with the refugees' representatives on board HMS Wolverton. A lotter addressed to the Governor of Hong Kong was handed by the refugees to Mr. Rasanayagam. This letter acknowledged the assistance given by Hong Kong, complained about conditions on board and made a renewed appeal to be landed. The refugees also handed over their lists of personal details of thog on board. These showed that there were 3,316 refugees in a total of 604 family groups.
The Master was interviewed on board HMS Wolverton by 2 officers of Marine Department and a CID officer. A description of this mecting is at paragraph 37 of the report.
A reply to the latter from the refugees was handed over by the C.0. of HMS Wolverton (the text is at Appendix 5 to 7nnex C).
