There were still considerably and some schemes were now self supporting. projects which needed support, mostly in the remote areas such as Mustan and Ladakh.

Lady Alexandra Metcalfe had visited Ladakh to see the work of Save the Children Fund in the camps; some of which were very basic in primitive conditions but performing much needed services, not least the provision of medicines, etc. by visiting SCF doctors.

This area had been helped less than any other and the Dalai Lama was appealing for special help. If funds were contributed to this area, Sir Robert Ffoulkes (SCF administrator) would be in a position to administer in Ladakh.

A statement prepared by the Tibet Society was circulated. agreed to send a copy to Dr. Wiederkehr, Swiss Aid to Tibetans, who had funds and would shortly be going to India. It was suggested that he should be asked to get in touch with the SCF administrator in Ladakh.
