Possible changes in Civil Service
maternity leave arrangements
If the recommendations of the Working Group on laternity Leave are implemented for the private sector through amendments to the Employment Ordinance, the Civil Service Branch of the Government Secretariat will consider making the following two changes to the Civil Service maternity leave arrangements:-

Officer must exhaust casual and vacation leave balances before being granted paid or unpaid maternity leave
