EMPLOYMENT OF CHILDREN REGULATIONS 1979

Made by the Governor in Council under section 73

Citation and

commence- ment.

1. These regulations may be cited as the

Employment of Children Regulations 1979 and shall come

into operation on 1 September 1979.

Inter- pretation.

(Cap. 279.)

In these regulations, unless the context

requires

otherwise requires

"day" means a period of 24 hours beginning and ending

at midnight;

"parent", in relation to a child, includes a guardian

and the person having actual custody of the child;

"secondary education: has the meaning assigned to it

in the Education Ordinance;

#school", in relation to a child, means a primary or

secondary school within the meaning of the Education

Ordinance and at which the child is a pupil at the

relevant time;
