Amendment of section

4.

(cap. 57.)

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Employment (Amendment) (No. 2) Ordinance 1979.

2.

Section 4(2)(a) of the principal Ordinance is

amended by deleting "$2,000" and substituting the

following -

"$5,000".

Amendment

of section 31 G.

3. Section 31,G of the principal ordinance is

amended by deleting subsection (2) and substituting

the following

"(2) Where an employee who is employed otherwise

than by way of manual labour is dismissed by reason

of redundancy or is laid off and at the time of

such dismissal or lay-off

(a) was earning wages not exceeding

$5,000 per month; or
