Dear Donald,
REGIS HOUSE,
43-46, KING WILLIAM STREET,
LONDON, EC4R 9BE
12th September, 1979.
CATHAY PACIFIC AIRWAYS.
I understand that you will be leaving next week to join Peter Blaker on his South-East Asian tour, which includes a visit to Hongkong.
I am therefore enclosing copy of a letter I have written today to John Nott about the forthcoming hearing before the C.A.A. in London to license another airline between Hongkong and London.
As I am sure you know, British Caledonian, Laker and C.P.A. have all applied to operate the route alongside British Airways. If C.P.A. are awarded the licence they would plan to fly Hongkong/London with Rolls Royce engined 747s.
I should be very grateful if you would bring it to Peter Blaker's attention before he visits Hongkong.
With best wishes,
Yours sincerely,
Adnań świnie
D.F. Murray, Esq., C.M.G., Assistant Under-Secretary of State, Foreign & Commonwealth Office, LONDON S.W.1. 2 A.L.
