UK-CHINA AIR SERVICES AGREEMENT

1. The only copy we have of this Agreement is the one initialled in Peking. The actual text is not yet a public document and will not be one until the Agreement is laid before Parliament, probably towards the end of January.

2. All this means, I am afraid, that I cannot yet let you have a copy of the final text nor can you give copies of the Peking one to consular missions. You will wish to know however that it appears that the Japanese here have already got a copy of the final text!

As soon as I get copies of the final texts I will send them to you.
