1. "Since 1950 the Government of the United Kingdom have recognised the Government of the People's Republic of China as the sole legal Government of China. The Air Services Agreement negotiated by the two Governments in 1973 provides for scheduled services on the trunk route between the People's Republic and the United Kingdom which are to be operated by the state airlines of the two countries."
