CONFIDEN AL MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
UNITED KINGDOM/MALAYSIA AIR SERVICES
At meetings held in London from 17th - 20th July 1979 between
Ministers and Officials of the United Kingdom and of Malaysia
certain understandings were reached concerning the future operation
of air services under the Air Services Agreement between the United
Kingdom and Malaysia dated 24 May 1973. This Memorandum of
Understanding sets out those understandings and also restates those
understandings reached in previously exchanged letters and
Confidential Memoranda of Understanding which it is the intention to
continue.
I The Route Schedule
The revised Route Schedule to the Air Services Agreement is
contained in Annex A. The revised Schedule will in due course be
confirmed by an exchange of Diplomatic Notes.
The designated airline of the United Kingdom will not be allowed
to exercise fifth freedom traffic rights between the following points
on UK Route 1 and Kuala Lumpur:-

Points in the Gulf other than Bahrain, Dubai and Muscat
Calcutta
Brunei
Hong Kong
Singapore
