PASSENGER FERRY SERVICES BETWEEN SHAU KEI WAN, RENNIE'S MILL AND HANG HAU

Introduction
On 23rd September 1975, Honourable Members considered memorandum XCR (75)180, a copy of which is at Annex A. The Council advised and the Acting Governor ordered that under regulation 10 of the Ferry Regulations (Chapter 104), approval should be given for the Colonial Secretary to grant a licence to the Hop Shing Kung Ferry Company to operate ferry services between Shau Kei Wan, Rennie's Mill and Hang Hau for a period of three years, from 1st December 1975, at a monthly rental of $5,000, on the terms and conditions set out in the draft licence at Annex B to this previous memorandum, XCR (75) 180.

The Company has applied for a renewal of the licence, which expired on 30th November 1978, together with a revision of fares.
