Each Contracting Party shall recognise the identity documents of crew
members issued by the competent authorities of the other Party.
The identity documents issued by the United Kingdom shall be the
British passport or British seaman's card; those issued by the
People's Republic of China shall be the "Seaman's Book."
For crew members who hold identity documents other than those referred

to in the preceding clause of this Article each Party shall recognise the
identity documents issued by competent authorities acceptable to that
Party.
