(AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 1979

The object of this Ordinance is to ensure the safe operation of the Mass Transit Railway after it has been opened for the public conveyance of passengers. The measure under report provides for only those matters which it is considered require statutory provision. By and large, safety will be secured through inspection and approved operational procedures.

Before the Acting Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, I advised that he could properly do so.
