and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance, the

For the purposes of the Factories

following provisions shall apply ..

(a) except as provided in paragraph (b),

the operation of the railway, the

railway premises and the machinery,

plant and equipment thereon are not

within the definition of "industrial

undertaking" or "registrable workplace”

in section 2(1) of that Ordinance;

(b) paragraph (a) does not affect the

application of that Ordinance to

(i) the workshops of the Corporation,

the work carried out and the machinerỳ,

plant and equipment therein; and

(ii) the construction of the railway;

(c) for the purposes of paragraph (b)(i)

a running shed operated by the

Corporation is not a workshop of the

Corporation.".
