PARLIAMENTARY QUESTION ON PREMIER HUA'S VISIT
1.
Mr Robert Parry MP has put down a Question for Written Answer on Thursday, 8 November, asking if the Prime Minister will make a statement on her recent meeting with Premier Hua Guofeng.
2.
No 10 and Mr Blaker's office (who wish to see the reply before it goes to Parliamentary Unit) have agreed that this provides a good opportunity for the Prime Minister to make a substantial statement about the visit as a whole. Parliamentary Unit have agreed that their deadline may be extended to 5 pm today.
3.
I submit a draft Answer.
Since this will be written and the Prime Minister is fully aware of the background, neither notes for supplementaries nor a background note are required.
