(2) The Governor may make provision for the conversion

of existing leases granted by him into indeterminate leases.

(3) The legislature of Hong Kong may make provision for

the regulation of leases granted or converted under this Article.

3. This Order is without prejudice to the Order of Her Majesty

in Council made in respect of the New Territories on 28 November

1898 (under which the Governor may make laws and do other

things capable of having effect in the New Territories during

any future period of time or indefinitely).
