MR BLAKER MELTING WITH THE URBAN COUNCIL

1.

Luring his recent visit to Hong Kong, ir Blaker met the Urban Council on 24 September. Government House subsequently sent a copy of the Summary Record of the heeting to Fr Blaker's frivate Secretary. Mr Blaker undertook at the meeting to reply to the points raised by the Councillors.

2. We have since then been awaiting comments from long Kong and suggested replies. As we have not yet received these, we thought we ought to write in case it had been assumed in Hong kong that these were not required. We should therefore be grateful if you would arrange for the Hong Kong Government's comments and suggested replies to be sent to us as soon as possible.

I apologise for bothering you with this but I cannot think of anyone more appropriate to write to.
