Please thank Percy Cradock for his agreement that the later arrival in Peking is acceptable. I think it would be very helpful if the Governor and I could have a discussion with him after arrival on the evening of 26 March. I have also suggested to the Chinese that it would be best to leave the morning of 27 March free on their programme so that we can have discussions with the Embassy.
