will also be set up. It was pointed out that every year more than

1,200,000 tourists come to Lok Ma Chau to get a distant look of the

mainland. It would be so much better if they are allowed to enter

China to get a clearer view. To enter Huang Kiang one will need

only a ticket. No visa is required;

To run ferries between Shum Chun's Kui Sar Beach and the New Territories;

To operate tour buses between Hong Kong and Shum Chun, but this is only feasible if the entry procedure is simplified.

The officials pointed out that to develop Shum Chun into a tourist area would require the support from various circles. They welcome all Hong Kong and overseas Chinese as well as foreign industrialists to make recommendations and provide capital and facilities in this venture.
