The Royal Festival Ballet visited China earlier this year, and the Prospect Theatre Group will be going in October; we have welcomed the Peking Opera here. ALL such exchanges make an invaluable contribution to mutual understanding and appreciation of the other's culture.

Further Royal Visits to China (defensive)

The Government would welcome and support further visits by members of the Royal Family to China. But no firm arrangements
