At the request of Monetary Affairs àranch, I am passing to you the tables they have prepared on China's Purchases of Foreign Currencios from January 1977 to July 1979. tables are attached giving the total lu both 4K and US b equivalents. I shall send a full copy by bag, Yvonne will be aware from serlier correspondence on File about gavests made by the financial experts here on the precise interpretation of these figures,
