We agreed last week to look at the current programme of papers in hand in this Region, in the light of the Director of Research's minute to the PUS, copied to Under Secretaries, of 23 April. I attach a list of current papers, showing who is working on them and the stages they have reached.
2. Apart from standing commitments the bulk of our output is, as you know, in the form of responses, both written and oral, to requests from departments. In future, some of the material produced in this way will appear in the new Research Department Notes series.
