That this House deplores the recent action taken by the new administration in Iran in executing Mr Habib Elghanian, a Jewish Iranian, because of his connection with the State of Israel.

Line 2, leave out from 'executing' to end and add 'many citizens after secret trials and would profoundly regret any expression of opinion by honourable Members giving the impression that any execution is either more, or less, deplorable because of the race or religion of the victim.
