Mr Peter McCann of Cable and Wireless telephoned to say that he would be out of the country at the time of the Seminar in September. He suggested that, if we were keen to have a representative from Cable and Wireless, we might invite Mr D C Buck (whom he later confirmed would be available on the dates in question). He described Mr Buck as being "of senior management level, just below Board level". He has apparently served with Cable and Wireless in the Caribbean and is familiar with the area and its problems. I told Mr McCann that we would let him know if we wanted to follow up this suggestion.
