Thank you for your letter of 7th August about the seminar on Remaining Dependent Territories. While I hope to be able to attend it, I should warn you that I shall be participating in the Constitutional Conference for the independence of the New Hebrides in Port Vila from 17th to 19th September, and may be required to stay over for a few days to tidy up loose ends. If that were to happen, I fear I would miss your seminar. If you are pressed for places, you may wish to allocate my place to another participant; otherwise I shall be grateful to remain on your mailing list, and hope to see you in September.
