Colonial Regulation 281 is probably unnecessary and difficult to enforce in non grant aided territories. In practice i it seems well established that the provision is made in the Estimates.

232 - 283. These Regulations could be omitted as patters of domestic store- keeping are enshrined in Stores Reg- ulations for each territory.

284. This is not practised in many dependencies.

Returns This provision could be included in DSP.

Medals This provision could be included in DSP.

Salutes - The number of salutes to which an OAG is entitled could be included in the terms of appointment and Royal Navy instructions issued to ensure compliance.

Lights It could be left to the Hydrographer of the Royal Navy to prescribe by correspondence with the Governor what regulations he requires.
