.Amendments to Colonial Regulations applicable to Hong Kong

Amendment of Colonial Regulation

54.

1. Colonial Regulation 54(5) in Appendix II to

Colonial Regulations is amended by inserting after

"dismiss" the following

"or compulsorily retire".

Amendment of Colonial

Regulation

56.

2. Colonial Regulation 56 in Appendix II to Colonial

Regulations is amended by inserting after paragraph (2)

the following

GLAM

"(3) If the officer admits in whole the misconduct

in respect of which it is proposed to cause the

investigation to be made, the Governor may dispense

with such investigation, unless the officer requests

that the investigation be made, and may inflict such

punishment, other than dismissal or compulsory

retirement, upon the officer as may seem to him to

be just.

(4) If the officer does not admit in whole

the misconduct but admits in part the grounds on

which it is proposed to cause the investigation to

be made, the Governor may -
