I attach notes for the meeting to be held next Thurday, lo May, to discuss items to be put before the forthcoming DTSAB. I presume that Mr McLaren will chair the meeting.

2. In a similar meeting prior to the last DTSAB, I included a list of possible DS candidates whom POD might have wished to consider for the vacancies put up. I think that for this Board this is somewhat presumptuous since there are two very obvious DS vacancies at Grade 3 level in Belize and the Falklands. However, I attach for your information only, a list of DS officers whom Mr Hall and I consider to be not only extremely able but also to have HMCCS experience at the right sort of level for prospective Governors.

3. I am advised by POD that they will be running a candidate for Montserrat but unless he is quite outstanding I think we should press for continuance of HMOCS Governorship there.

4. It is normal practice to try to give the Board a choice of two candidates if possible for each vacancy.
