If you agree, I will arrange for the Board's advice to be submitted to you through Mr Hurd (as the Minister responsible for personnel matters) who may wish to consult other Ministers as appropriate. We would then put future dependent territories appointments to the normal Diplomatic Service Boards in the usual way.
