We need to be a clear first which posts are going to be considered by which boards. The Governorships of Hong Kong, Gibraltar, Beranda, Belize and the Falkland Islands (and the High Commissioner and Resident Commissioner of the New Hebrides, in the unlikely event of our ever having to fill them again) are all reckoned, to be equivalent to DS3 or above, and should therefore be considered by the Senior Selection Board. It would not be approprate for the Head of HKGD to be co-opted on to this Board, and we should therefore have to ensure that the appropriate DUS was suitably briefed to fight the Hmocs corner if necessary (in fact none of these posts are
filled by Imocs offices at the moment, though n should certainly wish it moc's candidates to be considered at least for the latter two - as they were this year).
