I hope you will be able to agree to our taking over these two new minor commitments, which we would pay for under our existing Governors' expenses subhead. The actual expenditure involved is not likely to be very great perhaps £6000 £8000 a year to begin with - and the commitment will of course decline as further territories proceed to independence.
