4. Ron Bridge was dubious about doing this in a dispute in which the majority of those involved had already accepted the Government's offer. He thought that in such a case the dispute should be regarded as settled. But, in this country at least, a dispute could not be regarded as settled unless the Executive of the Union involved agreed to accept the employer's offer. And there does seen to us sone force in Mrs Cheung's contention that many of the girls have only accepted the new arrangement because there was a strong financial inducement for them to do so and not because they thought it was the just solution.
