We therefore submit a claim for an upward adjustment throughout the Master Pay Scale, based upon the above figures rounded up, and spread as smoothly as possible along the scale. Because of the difficulty of subsequently converting percentages to actual salary amounts at the bottom of the scale, where a minimum step of 5 represents more than 2%, we express our claim in terms of actual amounts for the two end points of the scale:
Point 1 an increase of $75 (9.93%) to (830
