Expatriation pay
Overseas officers appointed to posts advertised prior to 1st July 1969 who were in receipt of expatriation pay on 1st April 1971 are, subject to the provisions of paragraph 3 of Annex VIII to the Civil Service Regulations, eligible for expatriation pay at the following rates with effect from 1st April 1978:

At the rate of $522 per month until they reach the mark time points in their respective class scales given in Annex VIII of the Civil Service Regulations, at which they will remain until such time as the sum of their substantive salary and expatriation pay is exceeded by the pay point which they would have reached on the class scale had they not marked time.
