6 On 13 April 1978, during a routine cargo examination at Hong Kong airport, 21.5 kill of prepared opium were discovered inside a wooden case containing bird's nests imported from Kota Kinabalu. Follow-up investigations by Customs and Excise officers led to an ambush being set up. A Malaysian male ONG Chau-kim alias ONG Chau-chian arrived to collect the consignment and was arrested. ONG was charged with 'Possession of Dangerous Drugs for the Purpose of Unlawful Trafficking'. This case is now pending committal to the Supreme Court.
