impression that the Burmese Government and, more particularly, the Burmese Police would welcome the presence of a liong Kong Police officer in Rangoon and that they would be prepared to cooperate and consult with him. The Police also believe that such cooperation would probably not be forthcoming to a visitor (e.g. Charles Ley) as the Burnose would probably be suspicious of any person who had intimate dealings with Thailand. We should be grateful for your views on the value of implementing such a proposal.
