1. Would you please refer to our telegrams nos.752 and 750 about the late Superintendent RAB hite.
2. Major-General Norman Foster, a cousin of the deceased, ith whom I was in contact about the arrangements for Mrs Beresford-Edwards to visit Hong Kong, telephoned o today to express his appreciation for all the help that had been provided. In his words the kindness shown to Ers Beresford-Edwards had made a very unhappy period that much more bearable. His thanks applied both to those responsible in Hong Kong and to Superintendent Allen in the Hong Kong Government Office here.
3. I should be grateful if you would pass on to those in Hong Kong the General's thanks, together with my own. I am copying this letter to Dave Allen.
