OF MORALE IN THE ROYAL HONG KONG POLICE FORCE?

5. At the invitation of the Governor a team of British police experts are at present in Hong Kong. It is hoped that their report will identify any weaknesses in the present organization and structure of the Royal Hong Kong

Police Force and will recommend measures to correct them.

HOW OFTEN HAS CR55 BEEN USED IN THE PAST AND IS IT LIKELY TO BE USED AGAIN IN THE FUTURE?

was in the public interest to do so. This will continue

to be the policy in the future.

8. There are still a relatively small number of people

under investigation by the Independent Commission Against Corruption, all of whom are aware of the fact.

DOES THE AMNESTY OF LAST NOVEMBER MEAN THAT THERE IS NO LONGER A NEED FOR THE INDEPENDENT COMMISSION AGAINST CORRUPTION?

9. No. The Independent Commission Against Corruption will continue actively to pursue current cases of corruption. The amnesty only applied to certain categories of offences committed prior to 1/January 1977.
