55 have been allocated Public Housing and will move by the end of December; 19 applications have been rejected and the Force Welfare Officer is assisting them to frame fresh applications;

13 application remain under consideration in the Housing Department;

1 officer has withdrawn application for Public Housing and is presumed to be making arrangements to move to private accommodation; 1 of the original 91 has disappeared. His personal effects remain in his quarter but he cannot be located.

The Force Welfare Officer is trying to locate these two officers to establish their intentions.

I shall let you know as soon as I receive any further information about this proposed visit.

I am sending a copy of this letter, with enclosures, to Dennis Bray for his information.
