You will note that there is no suggestion from Sanguinetti alleged that officers of ICAC were in any way responsible for his giving false evidence at the trial. Notwithstanding this the Director of Operations, ICAC, has taken the precaution of placing the re-investigation of this matter in the hands of a completely different group of investigators to that which conducted the original investigation.
