With effect from 1st December 1977 an Independent Commission Against Corruption Complaints Committee has been set up under the chairmanship of Sir Yuet-keung Kan, CBE, JP with six other UMELCO members. The terms of reference of the Committee are as follows :

(a) to monitor and where it considers appropriate

(b)

to review the handling by the ICAC of complaints by any one against the ICAC and officers of the ICAC;

to identify any faults in ICAC procedures which lead or might lead to complaints;

when it considers appropriate to make recommendations to the Commissioner of the ICAC or, when considered necessary, to the Governor.

Written complaints against the ICAC or its officers should be addressed direct or through Heads of Departments to the Assistant Director (Administration), ICAC or to the Administrative Secretary, UMELCO. Complaints may also be made in person at any ICAC Office or sub-office or at the UMELCO Office.
