An Ordinance to amend the Marine Fish (Marketing) Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1.

This Ordinance may be cited as the Marine Fish (Marketing) Short title. (Amendment) Ordinance 1978.

2. The long title of the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting Amendment of after "co-operative markets" the following-

long title.

(Cap. 291.)

", for a scholarship fund for persons who may benefit or be connected with the marine fisheries and fish marketing industries”.

section 7.

3. Section 7 of the principal Ordinance is amended in subsections Amendment of (1) and (3) by inserting, after "any manager" in each place where it occurs, the following—

"or public officer".

4. Section 14(2) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting Amendment of "30th day of September" and substituting the following-

"31st day of October".

5. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding after Part II the Addition of following--

Interpretation.

Establishment and vesting of fund.

"PART III

ESTABLISHMENT OF SCHOLARSHIP FUND

18. In this Part, unless the context otherwise requires- "Committee" means the Marine Fish Scholarship Fund

Advisory Committee established by section 25;

"corporation" means the corporation sole incorporated by

section 19;

"fund" means the Marine Fish Scholarship Fund established

by section 19;

"trustee" means the Director as trustee of the fund.

19. (1) There is hereby established a trust fund to be known as the Marine Fish Scholarship Fund.

(2) The trustee shall hold the fund upon the trusts and subject to the provisions contained in this Part.
