An Ordinance to amend the Agricultural Products (Marketing) Ordinance.

[17th February, 1978]

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Agricultural Products

as the (Marketing) (Amendment) Ordinance 1978.

2. Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(a) by deleting the full stop at the end and substituting a semicolon;

and

(b) by inserting in their appropriate alphabetical positions the

following-

""Committee" means the Agricultural Products Scholarship Fund Advisory Committee established by section 9F;"; ""fund" means the Agricultural Products Scholarship Fund

established by section 9A;”;

""trustee" means the Director as trustee of the fund.".

Section 4(3) of the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting after "in trust" the following-

", subject to sections 9A and 9B,”.

4. Section 9(3) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "30th day of September" and substituting the following-

"31st day of October”.

5. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding after section 9 the following new sections—

"Establishment

and vesting of fund.

9A. (1) There is hereby established a trust fund, to be known as the Agricultural Products Scholarship Fund, which is vested in the Director as trustee.

(2) The trustee shall hold the fund upon the trusts and subject to the provisions contained in this section and sections 9B, 9C, 9D and 9E.

(3) The fund shall consist of--

(a) the sum of $1,000,000 which shall be appropriated for that purpose by the Director from moneys received by him under this Ordinance; and
