In my telegram no 13 of 5 January I explained that the Home Office will require an indemnity in respect of Mr Crane and his two assistants.

I now enclose a copy of a letter from the Home Office giving the normal text of such indemnity together with an explanation of its purpose. I should be grateful if you could let me have confirmation of your acceptance of these terms.
