Sir,

I received a letter dated 26.11.77 from Angus Miu Wah On, City District' Officer (Kowloon City) informing me that your department proposes to widen Junction Road and the pavements along the road, and some buildings will be affected. I am the owner of 149A Lai Chi Yuen, Junction Road, Kowloon. To make way for road construction works, several feet of my building were surrendered to the Government 10 years ago. If the proposed road widening works are enforced. I shall suffer further losses. I hereby request your department to withdraw the proposal, or grant me sufficient compensation as an alternative, so that I can continue to make a living and provide for the schooling of my 2 children. Your department is also requested to commisserate my difficulties and provide me alternative accomodation.
