Annex 10
24.
Retention of Existing Buildings
The Committee in all its deliberations
has had the professional advice of the Govern-
ment Maintenance Surveyor on the condition
of the buildings in addition to the Members'
on-site inspections. Having regard to the
need for maximum open space provision,
reasonable economic return and conservation,
the Committee recommends that the following
existing buildings be retained and converted
where required for the respective recommended
uses; all others situated in areas that have
been zoned for open space should be demolished
as soon as possible after the release of the
barracks land. The existing buildings
recommended to be retained are hatched on
the final land use zoning plan.
Photographs
of these buildings are shown in Annex 10.
